Product Coordinator

We are looking for a product coordinator with a passion for building great software products, a deep appreciation for creating value by understanding customer needs, and a reputation of being reliable and efficient.  This is a role that will work with project management, development and design teams across multiple Vimbly Group business units.  The best candidates for this role will have experience organizing project tasks and developing impactful features to production environments with a technical, process-first mindset.  The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating successful product campaigns across multiple teams, projects or business lines.

Candidates willing to work in a hybrid environment out of our Manhattan, New York based office are preferred, but exceptional remote-only candidates will be considered.

As a successful Product Coordinator, you will:

  • Deeply understand our product, customers and stakeholders, and work with the product teams to relentlessly ideate and deliver solutions to create value.
  • Create detailed product plans and specifications that can be leveraged across technical, operational and business units.
  • Work with project management, design and development teams to provide guidance and clarity on product goals.
  • Support product objectives by tracking team throughput and efficiency and suggesting pathways of improvement 
  • Manage multiple priorities gracefully 
  • Gather, define and own product requirements
  • Maintain excellent organization of ongoing development efforts and processes through clear and communicative documentation
  • Live and breathe efficiency with a meticulous attention to detail – in your work and the products you help build.
  • Keep up to date with the latest products, technologies and market strategies.
  • Have ownership of your features and products, and the accountability that comes with them.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience interpreting business requirements and translating them into tangible product specifications that can be leveraged by technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of engineering and project management workflows
  • Awareness of technology infrastructure and software stacks
  • Experience coordinating efforts across multiple teams and managing follow-through
  • Creative problem solver that loves rolling up their sleeves and getting work done
  • Proven track record working in a team environment
  • Professional experience in a product capacity
  • Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (in New York time)

Platform Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer with a burning curiosity, passion for building great products, track record of writing maintainable code, and reputation of being reliable and efficient.  This is a role that will work with our infrastructure and front-end teams to implement business logic across technology stacks and across multiple Vimbly Group business units.  The best candidates for this role will have experience building across the stack, including database, API and front-end technologies, delivering features to a live production environment.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and scaling B2B SaaS platforms.

Candidates willing to work in a hybrid environment out of our Manhattan, New York based office are preferred, but exceptional remote-only candidates will be considered.

As a successful Platform Software Engineer, you will:

  • Work with dedicated infrastructure, API and front-end specialists to implement scalable and secure functionality that impact millions of users.
  • Deeply understand technical project requirements and how they deliver value to customers and the business at large.
  • Live and breathe efficiency with a meticulous attention to detail – in your work and the products you help build.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies, and work with a team to deliver exceptional bug-free solutions.
  • Have ownership of your features and products, and the accountability that comes with them.


Requirements:

  • Expert-level experience with Node.js via Typescript
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.), and ORMs that interface with them (Sequelize, etc.)
  • Experience developing high-availability APIs and back-end systems
  • Experience with React and building interfaces with React components
  • Knowledge of AWS products and infrastructure
  • Proven track record working in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
  • Creative problem solver that loves rolling up their sleeves and getting work done
  • Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings (in New York time)

React.js Developer

We are looking for a front-end developer with a burning passion for building beautiful, detailed and polished user experiences, and a track record of being reliable and efficient. This role is not simply about being able to take a design and having it render on a browser: we are seeking a candidate with deep experience with the React framework and an ability to implement front-end design and business logic in a modular and scalable fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with leadership on implementing deep, detailed and targeted user experiences
  • Write scalable, factored and cross-browser compatible markup
  • Take responsibility for front-end architecture and ensure scalability of React-based projects
  • Work closely with back-end and design teams to build enterprise-class software
  • Take ownership of multiple projects and learn new technologies over time

Requirements

  • Expert-level experience working within React framework
  • Expert-level command of front-end development and implementation (HTML5, CSS3, JS)
  • Deep knowledge of modern JS ECMA6 syntax and best practices
  • Broad experience implementing precise and detailed responses to user interactions
